Flyin' Footwork and Savoy South team up to bring you a Saturday workshop with Tony & Aurelie Tye from Boston! They are renown as the founders of the annual Beantown Lindy Hop Summer Camp, and have taught at workshops and dance weekends throughout the East Coast from Maine to Florida. They have both studied with and assisted in weekend workshops with some of the world's best, including Steven Mitchell, Warren Heyes of the Jiving Lindy Hoppers, Eddie Janssen of the Rhythm Hot Shots and the legendary King of Swing, Frankie Manning. In addition, they have just returned from teaching at Ryan and Jenny's "Camp Savoy" in the UK. The workshop will be at Whirl & Twirl and will be a total of 5 hours of instruction! The class schedule is as follows:

Lindy Technique - 11:00 to 12:15: Novices will build on their foundation, while experts will gain new insight from these world-class instructors!

Charleston for Lindy - 12:15 to 1:30: Stuck in your groove? Learn the roots of Lindy Hop!

Blues - 2:00 to 3:15: Slow dancing for swing dancers!

Dips & Tricks for the Social Floor - 3:15 to 4:30: Safe and sane moves that look spectacular and catch the eye! Let's be real -- This is what attracted you to swing in the first place!

This special workshop is 5 hours of classes! There will be a half-hour break from 1:30 to 2:00. There will be music available so you can practice. No partner is needed to sign up. The workshop will be followed by an evening dance featuring the live music of Chief Cherry and his Red Beans & Rice.

Signup & Price: Regular registration is only $45 per person. Day-of is $50.

Online registration is closed. However, you may still register at the door day-of. Day of sign up: Registration the day of the workshop will be $50 at the door.
