We have just opened for registration two new classes to start in early Fall. The two classes are the Balboa Series Class in the 2:30pm time slot followed by the Swing Dance Series Class at the 4pm time. Both classes start from scratch so no previous dance experience is necessary. The Swing Dance Class is perfect for those looking to get a good well-rounded foundation in the basics of swing dancing (so you can look like you know your way around a dance floor).

Swing Dance - Never danced before and want to get started? The Swing Dance class is perfectly designed to give you all the fundamentals of swing dancing, plus some great moves and variations. The class will feature the 6-count swing dance basic and progress into a variety of moves, turns, and combos. Lindy Hop 2 – Are you ready to take your Lindy Hop to the next level or maybe you just want to cement in what you’ve already learned? From the Lindy Hop basics to intermediate moves and variations… Lindy Hop 2 is designed to make you a stronger dancer. You must know the 8 count basic Lindy basic to take this class. Lindy Hop Series Class: We will also be offering their most popular class, the Lindy Hop series. Lindy Hop (also known as Jitterbug) is the original form of swing dancing, popularized in the 30s and 40s. This class will start from scratch and teach you all the basics and fundamentals of the dance in addition to moves, technique, and style. Each class will build upon information from the previous class to continuously further your knowledge week by week. Classes will be an hour long followed by a half hour of practice, questions, and individual help. Previous dance experience is helpful, but not required. No partner needed; individuals and couples welcome! Swing Dance Series Class: Looking to get started with swing dancing? This is the perfect class for you! This six week series class will take you step-by-step from the basic to all the essential moves and variations. The goal of the class is to make you a strong dancer that is knowledgeable and feels confident on the dance floor. To do this, the class will introduce solid lead/follow techniques and explain how the dance works as opposed to memorizing steps. Collegiate Shag Series Class: Don’t miss your chance to learn one of our favorite dances, the Collegiate Shag! Not only can you dance to fast music with ease, but you will also have tons of fun learning something new and moving your body. The best part is that you don’t have to have any prior dance experience or knowledge to take this class; it’s designed for everyone from beginners to experienced dancers.
