Rob & Dawn to Retire
After much discussion between the two of us, Dawn and I have decided to retire from the active dance business. We’ve been heavily involved in the dance scene since we started dancing over a decade ago. Our goal has always been to bring top quality dances to Central Florida and we feel we’ve had many great accomplishments. Through the years, we’ve had a ton of fun and have amassed some great memories. However, the years of running events, living a busy schedule, and keeping up with full time careers outside of dancing, has finally taken their toll on us. We’ve decided to take a backseat, relax, and focus on other areas of our lives.
We thank all of you for your tremendous support over the years and we hope we’ve been able to touch your lives as much as you have touched ours. While the Christmas dance on December 13th will be the last dance that Dawn and I will host, we want you to know that we are passing the torch along to a new generation and the 2nd & 4th Saturday dances at Whirl & Twirl will continue under a newly formed organization led by Maria McKee (more info to come). Dawn and I will still continue to offer private lessons, and will teach group classes on occasions (however we will be taking a break from the latter for a while). We hope that you will continue to support the Whirl & Twirl dances as Maria and crew continue them into 2009 and the future.
